Today we learn that Christopher Reimer (Women, Azeda Booth, The Dodos) passed away in his sleep. Haven’t seen anything about the cause of his death. This is extremely sad news. R.I.P.

“Local drummer and sweetheart Jael of Sir Ma’am Ma’am had her cymbals rudely stolen from Wunderbar a few weeks ago. Our team of investigators turned up nothing, so we’re going to help her out. Luckily she is friends with some amazing bands. We’re doing a fundraiser to help her out with covered the replacement costs so she can keep on keeping the beat.”

OLD UGLY PRESENTS AN EVENING OF ELECTRONIC MUSIC @ WUNDERBAR

Edmonton is about to play host to two excellent electronic artists: Britain’s Fieldhead (a man who’s shared the stage with acts like Amiina and Grouper) and Mini 50 Records recording artist Chris Tenz of Calgary. They will be joined by two of Edmonton most-move-making electronic personages, Philip Dickau (also known for his work as Taiwan) and Thomas Michael (known for his work as Ghibli and Jaded Hipster Choir).
